Cotton flocks | HP-BF1
Cotton flocks are used to reinforce heavily stressed areas in the moulded part and to create bonds. They are stirred into the already mixed resin/hardener system to form a filler. The mixture is whitish and shows thixotropic behaviour. Cotton flocks can be used alone or together with glass fibre chips. Resin/cotton flake mixtures show increased impact strength as well as improved tensile, compressive and flexural strengths. The moulding materials are grindable and lightweight.
Applications and features:
✔ Thickening agent for viscosity regulation
✔ Reinforcement of bonded joints / adhesive beads
✔ In combination with glass fibre chips (HP-GS6) for coupling layers in mould construction
✔ Increased impact strength as well as improved tensile, compressive and flexural strengths
✔ Good grindability
Areas of application:
Mould and model construction, glider construction, car body construction, edge fillings, sandwich construction, bonding and filling in boat construction, ...
