Notes on battery disposal

As our consignments may contain batteries, we are obliged under the Battery Act (BattG) to inform you that batteries must not be disposed of in household waste, but that you are legally obliged to return used batteries. Used batteries may contain harmful substances that can damage the environment or your health if not stored or disposed of properly. However, batteries also contain important raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese or nickel and can be recycled. You can hand in used batteries at a municipal collection point or at your local retailer. As a distributor of batteries, we are also obliged to take back used batteries, although our take-back obligation is limited to used batteries of the type that we carry or have carried in our range as new batteries. You can therefore either return used batteries of the aforementioned type to us or hand them in free of charge at our dispatch warehouse at the following address:

HP-Textiles GmbH
